Has the Father gifted you in evangelism, teaching, discipleship, children’s ministry, or compassion ministry to the poor and widows and orphans?

CASA and CASR can help you in achieving these goals as an individual or as a group in South Rwanda!

Ministry in South Rwanda

Rwanda is one of smallest countries in East Africa. Despite its equatorial location, Rwanda’s mile high altitude keeps its humidity low and its temperatures mild; ranging between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.  Most international visitors find this “land of 10,000 hills” quite comfortable, clean, and safe.  There are many ministry venues to Rwanda near Kigali and in north and east Rwanda. There are few in the more isolated southern province of Rwanda. The university city of Huye (formally Butare) is a three hour drive from Kigali, It is central in the province and allows ministry teams to reach out to Burundi to the south and the Congo to the west.

Come & See Africa (CASA)

is an independent, non-denominational Christian, American,  non-profit ministry. Its primary mission is to support its sister organization, Come and See Rwanda, in facilitating international Christians and their Churches to accomplish meaningful ministry in South Rwanda. It also sponsors an annual East Africa Christian Apologetics Conference centered at the University of Rwanda and supports the ongoing campus ministry of CASR.

Why “Come and See Africa”? In the Gospel of John – chapter 4, the woman at the well shouts to her village: “Come and see the man. Is not this the Christ”? We echo her words. Come to Africa and see for yourself. The challenge is beyond description and the experience beyond words.

Come and See Rwanda (CASR)

is a Christian independent, non-denominational government-approved Rwandan non-profit ministry. Its ministries include:

Hosting international outreach teams and missionaries in structured ministry outreaches to the poor and to the Christian communities at the university and throughout south Rwanda.

It utilizes its facilities year round for local campus ministries at the University of Rwanda and encourages unity among Christian student groups and Christian churches.

CASR’s Compassion Ministry reaches out year round to the poor, the widows, and the children in the area.  They help visiting international Christians to  connect with the poor in an ongoing, meaningful manner.

The Lighthouse is a newly completed ministry/ business hybrid building just 200 steps from the University of Rwanda in Huya south Rwanda. Its building was financed by CASA and is now fully owned by CASR.

It houses the Joy of God Bible Institute and conference center. Its business goal is to support CASR’s ministries through its 20 room hotel, top floor restaurant, conference centers, and five street-front shops. Its future goal is to require no additional international donations to fund its ministries.
