Jesus Christ was a man with a real human body and yet He was always truly God. As He walked and talked with His followers, His humanity was always before their eyes. Jesus ate, slept, and grew tired, just like they did. On one occasion, Jesus revealed His divine nature to His closest followers. It happened like this: Jesus walked to a mountaintop with Peter, James, and John, when suddenly He was transfigured in front of them. His face and clothing glowed so brightly that they could not look at him. The prophets Moses and Elijah appeared at His side and His Father spoke from heaven saying, “This is my dear Son. Listen to Him”. Then suddenly the brightness passed. The Jesus of history had just revealed Himself as the Christ of Glory.
