Abo badayimoni n’ijambo rye . Rimwe umwuka mubi umenya Yesu urangije urasakuza uti, “Uri umwana w’Imana”. Yesu awutegeka guceceka. Ikindi gihe Yesu ahura n’umugabo ufashwe n’ abadayimoni aba mu bituro. Imbaraga z’uwo mugabo zari nyinshi ku buryo nta wabashaga kumufata. Yesu abaza izina rye. Uwo mugabo arasubiza ati, “nitwa ingabo kuko turi benshi” Yesu yirukana abo badayimoni bahungira mu mukumbi w’ingurube. Izo ngurube zose zirukanyira mu nyanja zirarohama, mw’ Izina rya Yesu abadayimoni bategekwa guhunga.
Jesus is Lord over evil spirits. Many times, these evil spirits or demons, would possess a man and hold him captive to disease or madness. Jesus cast out these demons with His word. One time an unclean spirit recognized Jesus and shouted “You are the Son of God”. Jesus commanded him to be quiet and come out. Another time Jesus met a demon-possessed man living among the tombs. His strength was incredible and no man could control him. Jesus asked his name. The demon-possessed man answered, “My name is legion for we are many”. Jesus rebuked these demons and they fled into a herd of pigs. The pigs rushed over a cliff and perished. At the name of Jesus, demons are forced to flee.
