Come & See Africa is now renting a house just south of campus and has established it as "The Christian Fellowship House". This house is open to all Christian students attending the University of Rwanda. Our house is barely adequate for our present needs. It is bursting at the seams with students and local believers. We need to build a permanent structure designed to serve Christian university students far into the future. For this reason we have set up a special bank account as a "capitol building fund".
We have a good start. CASA has received generous donations totaling over $40,000 for our future campus house. With about one-half of this money we recently purchased a plot of land near the back door of the campus. Take a look at
the property, just before we closed the deal on the land.
We estimate that our building fund will require about $100,000 more to complete a modern facility for students. Can you help?
Friends and donors to CASA, here is our heart. Missionaries from America and NGOs from Europe are building schools and hospitals across Rwanda. This is a great and noble thing. We applaud their good work. However, if we were to locate one -- and only one -- place to build a facility that would influence the entire nation of Rwanda toward Christ, the location would be near the doors of the University of Rwanda and the building would be a campus house. Why?
Please read this appeal that states the case for our Student Fellowship house. |
