FOUNDER – DR. CHRIS FOREMAN
Chris is a retired Southern Baptist pastor who lives in San Mateo, California with his beautiful wife, Liz. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Ball State University, a Doctorate in Education from the University of Oregon, and a Master’s degree from Golden Gate Seminary. He has two sons and three grandchildren. He is a retired U.S. Army Major. PRESIDENT – DR. FRANK FOREMAN
Frank is a pediatric dentist living in Vancouver, Washington. He holds dental degrees from the University of Washington and Oregon Health Sciences University. He is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel. He and his wife, Lelia, have ministered in Rwanda with his brother, Chris, on multiple occasions over the past decade. They have five children and six grandchildren.
VICE-PRESIDENT – JAVIN BAKKE
Javin served as executive director of CASA from July 2013 until October 2014 During that time he split his time between Rwanda and Washington State in order to facilitate the completion of the Lighthouse Ministry Center. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Washington State University and now lives in Kirkland, Washington.
SECRETARY – KARIN BRUECHERT – Karin has a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Seattle Pacific University. During two of her high school years she lived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia while her father was teaching in a Christian High School. She and her husband, Bob- a dentist – ministered in medical/dental missions for 18 months in Bamenda, Cameroon. During her nursing career, she has worked and taught in many positions, including 18 years as school nurse and administrator for Cedar Tree Classical Christian School in Ridgefield, WA. She and Bob and their two adult daughters live in Vancouver, Washington.
TREASURER – SHIRLEY HARDY – Shirley is the co-leader of the Mission’s Committee at Western Hills Church in San Mateo California. She and her husband, Ken, have been involved with missions over their long service to the Church. They have led several missions to Chile and many others to the poor in America. In 2015 and 2016, they led mission teams from Western Hills Church to minister in Rwanda with CASR. During her professional career, Shirley worked for Wells Fargo bank and for three school districts in San Mateo county in payroll and benefits.
